Pedra do Telégrafo is one of the main attractions of the first official section, alongside the wild beaches and Pedra da Tartaruga.
The hike is in the far western part of the city, and the famous photo may involve a wait; factor in the queue and agree on an exact pickup point for your return. At the summit, stay on stable rock and away from the edge—the effect in some photos comes from the camera angle, not leaning out. Bring water and sun protection, and do not climb in rain, mud or strong wind. Check Grumari Municipal Natural Park access and notices before setting out.
