Internet and eSIM in Búzios: arrive connected

Roaming keeps your usual line: check data, calling and charges first. A Brazilian SIM requires checking registration, documents and operator plan. An eSIM installs digitally on a compatible, unlocked device; check data, validity and voice/SMS since many plans are data-only. Accommodation Wi-Fi helps indoors but not with transport or finding addresses outside.

Coverage is not promised uniformly across the peninsula. Coast, indoor settings, terrain and remote beaches can change results; check operator maps and accommodation feedback. For remote work, request a recent room-specific speed test and ask about reliability, outages and workspace. Keep a mobile fallback instead of booking a secluded house solely because it lists Wi-Fi.

Save accommodation, pickup points, bookings, WhatsApp and help contacts. Download offline maps and return instructions; saved maps do not provide live taxi availability. Carry a power bank for boats, hikes and cruise calls, and protect your phone from water. Avoid banking on unknown public networks.
