Why I include it
The venue occupies an 1857 building. Riotur describes samba, choro, jongo and maracatu programming, plus spaces on several floors: a mezzanine for conversation and a terrace bar. To me, the appeal lies in both the music and this port-area house where the evening unfolds across different settings.
How to experience it
I would arrive with time to explore Saúde and Pequena África before the show. Doors, music times and age ratings depend on the programme: check the event listing directly with Trapiche before buying or travelling, and confirm whether that date has an age limit.
My Ernestinho tip
I would combine it with Pedra do Sal and Largo da Prainha but reserve the evening for Trapiche’s programme. Check whether the show requires a ticket or reservation, the minimum age and closing time; plan your return too.
