The name changed, and so did the plan
The old Canastra Bar listing no longer describes what operates here. The wine bar closed and became Pizzaria Canastra at Rua Jangadeiros, 42. I update this recommendation so you do not arrive expecting the former wine-and-street-tables concept.
The pizzeria lists daily opening from 6 pm and serves 30 cm pizzas designed for sharing. It offers classic flavours and its own combinations, plus drinks and booking/delivery through its channels. I do not fix prices because the menu changes and the platform shows the current amount.

How I would include it in an evening
I see it as an informal dinner before continuing through Ipanema rather than a dance bar. It is near Praça General Osório and its metro station, convenient if staying nearby or coming from Copacabana. Order a pizza to share and allow time for an unhurried dinner.
The old Canastra was associated with wine and outdoor tables; the current operation is different. For photos, menus and bookings, check the pizzeria’s profile rather than old bar reviews or images.

Book ahead for dinner, especially at weekends. Confirm that day’s menu and hours; afterwards you can continue on foot through Ipanema or request transport at the door.
