From the fan's seat to behind the scenes
The experience takes you into spaces we normally only see on television. You will discover internal areas of the stadium, dressing rooms, the press room and areas connected to football history.
The exhibitions bring together memories of great moments and iconic players. More than visiting a giant building, the idea is to feel why Maracanã became a name recognized even by people who have never been to Brazil.

Imagine the stadium full
When you reach the pitch, the perspective changes completely. It is time for photos, imagining a derby with the stands alive and understanding the stadium's true scale.
If you are a football fan, this is one of those visits you will talk about when you get home. If you are not, the history and scale of the place are still surprising.
50 minutes inside the Temple of Football
The official tour lasts around 50 minutes and takes you into spaces used by players and the press: the auditorium, mixed zone, one of the dressing rooms, warm-up room and press conference room. My favorite moment comes at the end: stepping to the edge of the pitch and seeing the stands from the perspective we usually see on television.
There is also a historical collection with items connected to names such as Pelé, Garrincha and Zico. Maracanã hosted the 1950 and 2014 World Cup finals and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Even when empty, the stadium has a historical weight that is hard to explain until you are inside.
My tip
To enquire about the visit, tell me the date, your group size and where you are staying. We check stadium operation and the relevant pickup arrangements before confirming. The button opens WhatsApp to discuss the experience; it does not confirm a booking by itself.
This tour is a visit to the stadium and its history, with tour operation to be confirmed for your date. If you want to watch live football from the stands, see the separate option for attending a match in Rio.
Wear your team's shirt if you like: football is a conversation here. Allow time for photos and do not schedule the visit too close to another activity. On match or event days, times and some tour areas may change, so we confirm operations before departure.
