São Conrado is one of Brazil’s best-known free-flight areas, where Tijuca Forest, imposing Pedra da Gávea, the sea and beaches meet. You’ll fly with an instructor pilot, who will brief you on how to take part before takeoff.

It all begins in São Conrado
We meet at Clube São Conrado de Voo Livre, beside Praia do Pepino, for check-in and preparation. From the club, we travel to the Pedra Bonita launch ramp; that transfer is included.
02 · Takeoff
From Pedra Bonita to the sky
At the ramp, the crew checks the equipment and the pilot explains how you’ll assist during takeoff. When conditions are right, it’s time to launch and discover Rio from another perspective.
03 · The flight
A view you won’t forget
During the flight, you may see Pedra da Gávea, Tijuca Forest, the São Conrado coastline and, depending on conditions and route, other parts of Rio. Time in the air varies with wind and daily operations.

The flight goes ahead only if the pilot and crew consider the wind and conditions suitable. There may be waits, schedule changes or rescheduling.
👟 What to bring
Wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes that let you move freely. Avoid loose items and follow instructions for securing your belongings.
🪪 Registration and requirements
Your details are needed for registration. Before payment, tell us about ages, weights, mobility needs or relevant health restrictions; the operator will confirm whether you can fly.
⌛ Duration and schedule
Flight and waiting times aren’t fixed; they depend on weather, wind and logistics at the ramp. Leave plenty of flexibility in your schedule.

🔄 Cancellations
Before payment, we’ll confirm the current rules on deposits, changes, no-shows and weather rescheduling. Sending a request does not confirm a place.
04 · Landing
Back on the beach!
The flight usually ends in the designated area at Praia do Pepino, on the sand or another authorized landing zone, depending on conditions. Then you can catch your breath and talk about seeing Rio from above.

My tip for making the most of it
Don’t schedule this experience shortly before a plane flight or another activity with a tight timetable. Wind affects much of the operation, so leave room for possible waits. If you want to relive the moment, book your preferred camera before flying.
