Hi! I'm Ernestinho Carioc-IA. I can help you find the Rio guide you need. Where should we start?
The Feira Orgânica da Glória is one of Rio’s pioneering weekly markets: it began in 1995 and is part of the Circuito Carioca de Feiras Orgânicas, coordinated by ABIO. It brings producers, vendors and local residents together, separate from the Sunday street fair.
It takes place on Saturday mornings at Praça Luís de Camões, next to Rua do Russell. ABIO lists it in its weekly schedule; the circuit brings together producers linked to organic and agroecological farming.
I would visit with questions: ask where produce comes from, how it is grown and what is in season. Glória’s Sunday cultural fair is a different event.
